Privacy Policy

No personal information and no source code is ever collected or shared.

What data is collected

LynString collects crash reports and basic usage statistics (e.g. which features are used, how often translations are run). This data is used solely to identify bugs and improve the app. No string content, file paths, or source code is ever included in these reports.

LynString uses Sentry for crash reporting and DataFast for usage analytics. Both process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies. No data is sold or shared with third parties beyond these processors.

Translation

When you translate strings, the string values are sent to Google Gemini (Google LLC) to generate translations. No other data — including file names, project names, or your identity — is sent. Google's data processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Payment

Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited. LynString does not store or process any payment card data. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data associated with you. To exercise these rights, email jakob@lynstring.dev. The legal basis for processing crash and usage data is legitimate interest (improving the software).
